All Media Have Been Banned From Gulf Of Mexico Oil Spill Cleanup Sites

In an amazing development, all media have been banned from Gulf of Mexico oil spill cleanup sites.  Yes, you read that correctly.  All media have been banned.  In yet another sign of just how far free speech rights in the United States have fallen, "National Incident Commander" Thad Allen has banned all media access to oil clean up sites in or around the Gulf of Mexico.  Instead of devoting all of their energy to trying to save the environment in the Gulf of Mexico, BP and the U.S. government seem absolutely obsessed from keeping people away from seeing what is really going on.  It is now a class B felony that carries a fine of up to $40,000 for any media representative to come within the 65 foot "exclusion zone" that has been established.  That means that all members of the media - print, television, radio and bloggers - are banned from coming within 65 feet of anything important down in the Gulf of Mexico.

The media are being treated like the enemy.  Already there have been many reports of how the media have been harassed and intimidated down in the Gulf of Mexico.  But now BP and the U.S. government have just decided to shut free speech down altogether in the Gulf.  Apparently they are much more comfortable when their inaction and incompetence is not exposed for the entire world to see.

But what harm is the media really doing down there in the Gulf?  Well, other than showing how badly the U.S. government and BP are handling the situation.  The truth is that the American people deserve to know what is going on.  But now the media will not be able to get pictures or video of anything important.

In a recent article, columnist Yobie Benjamin described the dramatic impact that this new order is going to have on media coverage of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill crisis....

Allen's orders effectively bans all media - print, television, radio and Internet bloggers from talking to to any clean-up worker or to even come close to take pictures or videos of booms, clean-up workers, oil soaked birds, dead dolphins, dead marine life, burned and dead endangered sea turtles.
Needless to say, many in the media are absolutely outraged.  Not being able to get within 65 feet of any oil spill clean up site is going to severely restrict media personnel from doing their jobs.  Not that they were doing such a great job of covering this oil spill crisis anyway, but now they are basically going to have no access.

In the video posted below, you can really feel Anderson Cooper's outrage as he described what this new order means.  Is this another huge indication that free speech in America is just about dead?....

The BBC reported on July 4 that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the US ballistic missile base in Poland was not directed at Russia.  The purpose of the base, she said, is to protect Poland from the Iranian threat.

Why would Iran be a threat to Poland? What happens to US credibility when the Secretary of State makes such a stupid statement?  Does Hillary think she is fooling the Russians?  Does anyone on earth believe her?  What is the point of such a transparent lie? To cover up an act of American aggression against Russia?

In the same breath Hillary warned of a “steel vise” of repression crushing democracy and civil liberties around the world. US journalists might wonder if she was speaking of the United States. Glenn Greenwald reported in Salon on July 4 that the US Coast Guard, which has no legislative authority, has issued a rule that journalists who come closer than 65 feet to BP clean-up operations in the Gulf of Mexico without permission will be punished by a $40,000 fine and one to five years in prison. The New York Times and numerous journalists report that BP, the US Coast Guard, Homeland Security, and local police are prohibiting journalists from photographing the massive damage from the continuing flow of oil and toxic chemicals into the Gulf.

On July 5 Hillary Clinton was in Tbilisi, Georgia, where, according to the Washington Post, she accused Russia of “the invasion and occupation of Georgia.” What is the point of this lie?  Even America’s European puppet states have issued reports documenting that Georgia initiated the war with Russia that it quickly lost by invading South Ossetia in an effort to destroy the secessionists.

It would appear that the rest of the world and the UN Security Council have given the Americans a pass to lie without end in order to advance Washington’s goal of world hegemony.  How does this benefit the Security Council and the world? What is going on here?

After President Clinton misrepresented the conflict between Serbia and the Albanians in Kosovo and tricked NATO into military aggression against Serbia and after President Bush, Vice President Cheney, the secretary of state, the national security advisor and just about every member of the Bush regime deceived the UN and the world that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, thus finagling an invasion of Iraq, why did the UN Security Council fall for Obama’s deception that Iran has a nuclear weapons program?

In 2009 all sixteen US intelligence agencies issued a unanimous report that Iran had abandoned its weapons program in 2003.  Was the Security Council ignorant of this report?

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s weapons inspectors on the ground in Iran have consistently reported that there is no diversion of uranium from the energy program. Was the Security Council ignorant of the IAEA reports?

If not ignorant, why did the UN Security Council approve sanctions on Iran for adhering to its right under the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty to have a nuclear energy program? The UN sanctions are lawless. They violate Iran’s rights as a signatory to the treaty. Is this the “steel vice” of which Hillary spoke?

As soon as Washington got sanctions from the Security Council, the Obama regime unilaterally added more severe US sanctions. Obama is using the UN sanctions as a vehicle to which to attach his unilateral sanctions. Perhaps this is the “steel vice of oppression” of which Hillary spoke.

Why has the UN Security Council given a green light to the Obama regime to start yet another war in the Middle East?  

Why has Russia stepped aside? At Washington’s insistence, the Russian government has not delivered the air defense system that Iran purchased. Does Russia view Iran as a greater threat to itself than the Americans, who are ringing Russia with US missile and military bases and financing “color revolutions” in former constituent parts of the Russian and Soviet empires?

Why has China stepped aside?  China’s growing economy needs energy resources. China has extensive energy investments in Iran.  It is US policy to contain China by denying China access to energy. China is America’s banker. China could destroy the US dollar in a few minutes.

Perhaps Russia and China have decided to let the Americans over-reach until the country self-destructs.

On the other hand, perhaps everyone is miscalculating and more death and destruction is in the works than the world is counting on.

Like the Gulf of Mexico.

 Rice Stresses War-Crimes Accountability Under International Law

"Governments bear the primary responsibility for protecting civilians, but other parties to armed conflict must also comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law. And all too often, they do not," said Dr Susan Rice, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, during a Security Council Debate on the Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict Wednesday. "Those legal obligations should have legal consequences. It’s incumbent upon the international community to end impunity—by helping governments create, maintain, and operate credible and effective national courts where possible, or by supporting international and other mechanisms where necessary. The International Criminal Court can also be useful in the fight against genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity," Rice added.

You can always count on Tom Tancredo to say all kinds of insane things, but sometimes it's hard to tell if he just says them to get attention, which he obviously craves, or if he really believes the things he says.

Well, the other day at a campaign event for his pal, Republican Senate candidate and renowned Tea Partier Ken Buck (a favorite of Erick Erickson, too), Tancredo seemed quite aware of this confusion, and did his best to clear it up for us all:

Tancredo: What could be more important for you to do, really, if you think about this? Everything is at stake here. Everything.

I firmly believe with all my heart, you guys, although we have had many threats to our nation -- and we have gone through a whole lot of things, and survived many things. We -- I always say, you know, we survived the Civil War, we survived the Depression, we went through all -- we survived Bill Clinton, for heaven's sake!

But nothing -- I do not believe -- not the Soviet Union, when we were in, you know, that thirty-five year period leading up to the fall of the Soviet Union, thanks to Ronald Reagan, God bless him. [Applause]

But we had that threat, we survived it. Later, we found out we had another threat to our way of life, and that was Al Qaeda, and we found that out on 9/11.

But I firmly believe this -- it's not just, you know, some dramatic statement a person would make to get press or something or ink. I believe this with all my heart -- that the greatest threat to the United States today, the greatest threat to our liberty, the greatest threat to the Constitution of the United States, the greatest threat to our way of life, everything we believe in, the greatest threat to the country that was put together by the Founding Fathers, is the guy that is in the White House today.

It's actually a bit scarier to realize that people like Tancredo (and Beck, and Limbaugh, and Weiner Savage, and Palin, et al et al) really believe the things that come out of their mouths.

And you'll notice that everyone applauded.

Linda Morin had no idea she entered a nightmare on October 9, 2008. That is the day her beautiful daughter, Annabelle, received her first Gardasil injection at school. In Canada, HPV vaccination is part of the regular immunization schedule, and parents need not be informed when vaccination actually takes place.

Annabelle and her parents had heard about the vaccine two years earlier at a Urology Clinic. They were told this vaccine would prevent their daughter from ever getting cervical cancer and would save her life. They had even discussed it with Annabelle. They believed the vaccine was a good idea.

16 days after her first shot, Annabelle became very confused, was unable to speak and could hardly stand upright. Linda telephoned the Health Service and spoke to a nurse, who said it was not normal for a girl in full health to have disorders of this kind. She was advised to take her to the Emergency Room.

The symptoms of aphasia, weakness, amnesia, headache and constant vomiting led to hospital admission for observation. Her parents did not know she had been recently vaccinated. Annabelle was too ill to tell anyone.

Annabelle was thoroughly examined. There was no trace of alcohol or drugs in her system. It was clear to her mother that the symptoms were neurological. No one at the hospital asked if Annabelle had been recently vaccinated, even though the medical community knew this vaccination program had recently started in the schools. This was the first error.

Annabelle was released from the hospital and returned to school the next day. She told the school nurse that she had been admitted to the hospital and asked if her health card could be modified to take the circumstances into account. She also informed her teachers in case she experienced the same symptoms again. She wanted to make sure, if the situation repeated itself, she would be transported to the hospital in time. She also wanted to be sure the school was aware of the symptoms, should anyone else experience them.

When a person becomes ill during the course of HPV vaccinations, it is recommended to postpone further injections until the person has recovered. Annabelle did all the right things by communicating with the nursing staff and the teachers. Sadly, no one connected her illness to Gardasil. That was the second error.

24 November 2008, the third and fatal error: Annabelle received her second injection of Gardasil.

15 days later, she decided to have her bath (around 7:00 pm). With a book in her hand to read while bathing, she entered the bathroom. 30 minutes later, her mother was concerned because she heard no sounds from the room. Linda entered the bathroom to find her daughter dead in the bottom of the tub.

Linda's daughter had died without making a sound. Now Linda finds herself fighting the silence every day. She fights the silence of the manufacturer about the true side effects of HPV vaccines. She fights the silence of the medical community, who should have asked if Annabelle had been recently vaccinated. She fights the silence of the press, who should be reporting the adverse events and fatalities associated with Gardasil.

In Linda's words,

The Health System in Canada let my daughter down by not listening to her. As a consequence, my lovely girl has paid with her life.

Her father and I cannot come to terms with the fact that her autopsy report cannot find a cause of death. This is not normal in one so healthy, and yet, now I know more and have researched Gardasil. I find that there are 75 deaths on VAERS reports, and all of these deaths have one thing in common:  each of these girls was vaccinated with Gardasil. 

How significant is that? How revealing that our authorities appear to have turned their backs on the young, vulnerable girls and women who have died following vaccination with Gardasil.

They will be held accountable for this one day.

Open Letter to Fans from Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier. 

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.  

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.  

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.  

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.  

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.  

You have given so much and deserve so much more.  

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:  
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE" 

You can take it to the bank.  

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.  

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.  

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.  

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.  

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.  

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.  

Just watch.  

Sleep well, Cleveland.  

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

Right-wing media have seized on an opportunity for race-baiting with the manufactured scandal surrounding J. Christian Adams' accusations that President Obama's Department of Justice engaged in racially charged "corruption" in the New Black Panther Party case.

Adams: DOJ's action in New Black Panther case shows unprecedented, racially charged corruption

Adams: DOJ decision not to pursue charges in New Black Panther case demonstrates unprecedented, racially charged corruption. Adams, a GOP activist, penned a Washington Times op-ed leveling accusations of a "corrupt" and racially charged dismissal of the New Black Panther Party case and appeared in a two-part interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly. During the interview, Adams accused the Justice Department of "a hostility in the voting section and in the civil rights division to bringing cases on behalf of white victims for the benefit of national racial minorities." Adams further said that "the decision to dismiss this case was corrupt," adding, "to abandon law-abiding citizens and abet wrongdoers constitutes corruption." In a Pajamas Media post, Adams wrote:

If we had that frank, truthful discussion about race, we'd learn that the Obama administration doesn't believe some civil rights laws protect every American. The Bush Civil Rights Division was willing to protect all Americans from racial discrimination; during the Obama years, the Holder years, only some Americans will be protected. Americans have a right to know and judge the racial policies of the administration they elected in 2008.

Right-wing media jump on race-baiting opportunity

Beck accuses Obama of aligning himself with "community organizers" like the Black Panther Party. On the July 7 edition of his radio program, Glenn Beck played an audio clip of one of the New Black Panthers who stood outside the Philadelphia polling place. In the audio, which was from a 2008 National Geographic documentary on the New Black Panthers that was completed before the 2008 election day, the New Black Panther said, "I hate white people. All of them. Every last iota of a cracker, I hate it. ... You want freedom, you're going to have to kill some crackers. You're going to have to kill some of their babies." Beck likened the New Black Panthers' rhetoric to "the kind of stuff" Van Jones "was holding up" with the group STORM, stating: "These are the kinds of people that our president aligns himself with. He already has Van Jones and STORM. How many people do you have to have that are community organizers? Because, really, that's all that the Black Panthers are: community organizers."

Beck: "This administration is full of ... people that will excuse" the "hatred" of the New Black Panthers. On the same edition of his radio show, Beck stated: "What everyone is leaving out is that this administration is full of radicals, full of revolutionaries, full of people that will excuse this kind of hatred." He then played the audio clip from the National Geographic documentary and stated, "That is incredible. And talk radio is deemed hate speech. I've never heard anything like that. I've never heard anything like that on talk radio. And if I did hear that on talk radio, I would be all for turning that person off."

Beck: "I'm not sure what racism is any more." Also on the same edition of his radio show, after again playing the audio from the New Black Panthers documentary, Beck stated, "Now, some people might call this racism because he hates all white crackers." Beck later said: "I heard this language before in the '60s, and it didn't end well. I think we all have to watch our language. I wonder if Nancy [Pelosi] is going to give a speech today about the watching of our cracker language. Of course not. So, I'm not sure if it is officially racism because I'm not sure what racism is any more."

RedState.com accuses "African American Attorney General" Holder of "blatant reverse discrimination." In a July 7 RedState.com post on the New Black Panthers case, Dave Poff wrote:

It's impossible to believe that President Obama and his Administration actuallybuys in to this idea that we have moved beyond race and into a new generation of a color blind society, when you consider the blatant reverse discrimination his Attorney General (yes, his African American Attorney General) Eric Holder has been pursuing in the name of leveling the playing field in matters of Justice. Holder, it would seem, is still judging people by the color of their skin. [emphasis in original]

Fox's Johnson goes after Holder for being "active in black student associations" in college. Responding to a question from Megyn Kelly about "what ... we know about Eric Holder and his history of prosecuting this kind of case," Fox's Peter Johnson Jr. stated that "[i]n college, he [Holder] was active in black student associations" who had taken over the dean's office at Columbia. From the July 1 edition of America's Newsroom:

KELLY: Now, in terms of how high this goes, this is one of the big questions of this case. Just exactly to what extent did the attorney general weigh in on this? To what extent did the top brass in the DOJ weigh in on this? What if anything do we know about Eric Holder and his history of prosecuting this kind of case?

JOHNSON: We don't know at this point. We know that he was a federal judge. We know that he inserted himself in a discussion about race in America early on in this administration.

KELLY: And said we're a nation of cowards --

JOHNSON: Correct.

KELLY: -- when it comes to race.

JOHNSON: We know that at Columbia College he was active in black student associations there and at some point there had been a takeover of the dean's office at Columbia. We know that he spoke recently at Columbia Law School and indicated there that he was grateful to the dean, Dean Henry Coleman, who is a friend of mine as well, who wrote a recommendation for Eric Holder to Columbia Law School in spite of the takeover of his dean's office. But we know based upon Mr. Christian's statements to you that this goes to very high echelons in the Justice Department. We don't know whether it's Mr. Holder or not -- and we also know that people have paid the price in the Justice Department for speaking out on this particular issue.

Wash. Times: "[R]acial bias infuses the Civil Rights Division." In a July 6 editorial, The Washington Times relayed Adams' racially based allegations against the DOJ, forwarding his claims that in the Obama Justice Department "top appointees have allowed and even encouraged race-based enforcement as either tacit or open policy." From the op-ed:

"There is an open hostility to race-neutral enforcement of the voting rights laws," he [Adams] stated. Officials, he said, openly refuse to bring "cases against black perpetrators [on behalf of white voters]."

That's not even the worst of it. When a black lawyer in the department dared to work on a voting rights case against a notoriously corrupt black official in Mississippi, Mr. Adams said, "he was relentlessly harassed" by other Justice officials for having the integrity to help bring a case against a black defendant. If this story is true, it could be a civil rights violation within the Civil Rights Division. It also could amount to obstruction of justice.

To bolster his allegations, Mr. Adams provided the Commission on Civil Rights with a list of other instances in which, he claimed, either the Justice Department refused to bring cases because of the race of those involved or in which officials made comments hostile to race-neutral enforcement. "They don't want to help white victims," he said, adding that a number of other Justice Department officials, past and present, would surely testify similarly if under oath. The Washington Times has reported since last fall that such racial bias infuses the Civil Rights Division.

Mr. Adams later explained to The Washington Times that while the hostility towards protecting white victims has long been pervasive within the division, it is only under the Obama administration that top appointees have allowed and even encouraged race-based enforcement as either tacit or open policy.

Breitbart, Asman agree Obama is "defending racism" in New Black Panthers case, which is "virtually the same" as being racist. On the July 6 edition of Fox Business Network's America's Nightly Scoreboard, Andrew Breitbart agreed with host David Asman, who stated that while it "may or may not be true" that Obama is a racist, "in letting the Black Panthers off," Obama "is defending racists," which is "virtually the same." From the show:

BREITBART: When people approach this story or they approach the story of what's going on in Arizona right now, where you have the same Department of Justice bringing suit against the state of Arizona for creating a law that is very similar to the federal law, is that you have a Department of Justice and you have Barack Obama who is not what I would say is a racist. I would say that Barack Obama is in the process of taking over the Democratic Party the way that the colleges have been taken over in our country, and it's no longer E Pluribus Unum, becoming one from many. We've separated this country into different races and into different classes.

ASMAN: Well, let me just stop you. Hold on a second, Andrew, because you say he's not a racist. That may or may not be true. Again, I can't -- like Bartle, I can't get in between his ears and figure out what's going on in his head. But he is defending racists. In letting this guy off, in letting the Black Panthers off, he is defending racists, and when you defend racism and defend racist acts, it's virtually the same in my mind as to whether you're a racist or not.

BREITBART: I couldn't agree with you more, but that's what you get from multiculturalism. That's what you get from separating the races, you know, on a college campus into Chicano studies and into black studies.

Tribute To A Lost Gardasil Girl: Annabelle Morin

From the day Annabelle was born, she was an exceptional child. She had a heart as big as all outdoors. Her family viewed her as a gift. Loving daughter, grand-daughter, friend and confidante to all, it didn't take long for everyone she touched to feel the same way. Annabelle was indeed a treasure.

Early on, Annabelle showed she was determined to make the world a kinder, gentler place. The first sign was her great love for animals. It was not unusual for her to rescue any stray animal she found. As soon as she was old enough, she helped groom race horses with her grandfather. At only 12 years old, she worked as a volunteer for the SPCA. Benevolence was her nature.

Her kind heart was not reserved for animals. When called upon to be a godmother, this young woman took the job quite seriously. Annabelle had already set out to change the world, one small step at a time.

Annabelle's life had but one guiding principle, "All that is necessary to acheive, is to believe." Annabelle believed she would become a veterinary surgeon.

9 December 2008, 15 days after her second shot of Gardasil, that dream ended. Annabelle went to take a bath less than 10 feet from where her family was sitting. 30 minutes later, she was found dead. No cry, no unusual sound, she left the world in silence.

Annabelle lived in Canada, where the parents do not need to be informed when vaccination takes place. Her family had heard the advertisements for Gardasil for two years prior to when she actually received the first shot. They had discussed it and agreed that based on the advertisements, the vaccination would be a good idea.

16 days after Annabelle's first shot, she suffered from aphasia (the inability to understand spoken or written language), weakness, amnesia, inability to speak and difficulty standing. Not knowing she had received a Gardasil shot, her parents took her to the hospital to find answers.

No one at the hospital asked if she had recently received a vaccination. Even though many of her symptoms were neurological, her brain scan came back normal. All they could say was that it was not normal for such a previously healthy girl to suffer these symptoms. There were no answers.
