Are Progressives In Delusion and Denial Postponing The Inevitable American Revolution?
We know we’re being lied to. We know The Constitution and the laws of this land are being ignored on a daily basis and that there is a class of rich and powerful who have carved out a place for themselves above the law.
We know no one is going to be impeached let alone be tried for their war crimes in this nation because Americans simply don’t have the will of guts to cause the American Justice to work.
We know that this nation is polarized to the point of violence. We know that the mainstream media is little more than a propaganda tool of the corporate establishment. We know that we are attempting to rebuild a 1930s economy complete with the erasure of The New Deal. Labor is impotent and women’s gains are being eradicated in new or re-employments. We might as well have a “Religion Party” the way that religious ideology has poisoned the already sewage filled pool of American politics. Our leaders are mere puppet office holders gladly playing their roles for the sake of ego and perks. There is so much more that is wrong with this society and yet we do little but talk and squawk with a few theatrical arrests thrown in for the enjoyment of those who feel they are making a difference.
Progressives applaud themselves but are as likely to report a true liberal or radical/revolutionary as any Fascist Conservative. We can’t win back America because folks are afraid to. They want someone else to do it for them. After all they have jobs and families, futures and really don’t want to get off the couch; they simply wash down their feelings of self-guilt with yet another Martini. When the days of denial are done and this nation awakes from its hang over no one will be able to avoid the tectonic shock that engulf this nation in the inevitable revolt. It will engulf everyone. The clock is ticking.
Democracy has become an illusion and decency is nothing more than a nice word.
