US Espionage Investigation Against WikiLeaks (Plus Perry Watch And Other Right Wing Nut Reports)
| Further proof has emerged of the United States secret Grand Jury investigation into Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.  More information has been demanded on the organization and its founder for the US courts, this time under the PATRIOT Act.  The Federal Grand Jury has been meeting in Alexandria, Washington DC trying to work up an espionage case against the organization’s founder, Julian Assange. The latest information demanded is anything held by WikiLeaks DNS host, Dynadot in California, regarding Wikileaks.org, WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. WikiLeaks have just received a copy of the recently unsealed court Order from the United States, signed by a US magistrate judge on the 4th of January 2011. Using the terms of the PATRIOT Act the Order was issued to Dynadot, the domain registrars for Wikileaks.org, for all information they hold on WikiLeaks, Julian Assange and Wikileaks.org. The Order demands Dynadot handover the following information for the time period November 1st, 2009 to present, within three days of the date of the Order: 1.                   Subscriber names, user names, screen names, or other identities; 2.                 Mailing addresses, residential addresses, business addresses, e-mail addresses, and other contact information; 3.                 Connection records, or record of session times and durations; 4.                 Length of service (including start date) and typos of service utilized;   5.    Telephone or instrument number or other subscriber        number or identity; including any temporarily assigned network address; and 6.     Means and source of payment for such service (including any credit card or bank account number) and billing records. Also: 1.     Records of user activity for any connections made to or from the Account 2.   Non-content information associated with the contents of any communication or file stored by or for the account(s), such as the source and destination email addresses and IP addresses. 3.   Correspondence and notes of records related to the accountWikiLeaks Press ReleaseWednesday 24th August 2011WikiLeaks.Org does not know what, if any, information Dynodot has provided to the US Courts. This demand follows a subpoena earlier this year to Twitter for the information it holds on WikiLeaks, Julian Assange and some of his associates. Should we expect Perry, a Republican who once served in the Texas legislature, to make the same admission about his pro illegal immigration stance? After all, he gave illegal aliens discounted in-state tuition at public colleges and universities in Texas then traveled to Mexico to brag about it. He also slammed Arizona for passing a tough immigration control law, believes the southern border fence is unnecessary and opposes a federal verification program that prevents illegal immigrants from landing state jobs. Perhaps Americans shouldn’t hold their breath for an apology on the open borders issue since its likely that camp Perry is betting it will earn Latino votes. The vaccine controversy, on the other hand, is contentious across ethnic and political lines because the drug (Gardasil) has been linked to dozens of deaths and thousands of serious adverse effects in girls and young women nationwide. Judicial Watch was the first to expose the crisis by obtaining the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) adverse event reports documenting serious side effects in a disturbing number of cases. Regardless of its perilous history, several states made the deadly vaccine (best known as the HPV vaccine) mandatory for girls ages 11 and 12. Incredibly, tax dollars help pay for the shots because the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) makes them available through the federal Vaccines for Children program. This week Perry says he was wrong to sign an order requiring all sixth-grade girls to receive the vaccine, which is promoted as a cure against the sexually-transmitted human papillomavirus. "I readily stand up and say I made a mistake on that," Perry said Monday on an Iowa radio call-in show. Perry issued an executive decision in early 2007 forcing the vaccine mandate into law but the Texas legislature overturned it a few months later. The HPV vaccine requirement is senseless and clearly not worth the risk since it’s based on a condition that is not communicable in a school setting. In fact, Gardasil’s manufacturer (Merk) admits that the drug can prevent only strains of a cervical cancer communicated by sexual contact, which means they don’t represent a danger to children or the general population. The Only Problem With All The Republican Candidates Who Are Jokes, Egomaniacs and Buffoons Is That They Could Be elected In A Nation that has become non-informed, misinformed, distracted by fears and crises that make rational decision making and meaningful control of our government an impossibility. Rick Perry bought his re-election to office as Governor of Texas, and the people of Texas paid for it. Yesterday this post gave a detailed description of the CORRUPTION associated with the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.    Even though no financial accounting is available, to anyone, of the millions of dollars given away by the state of Texas, there is an annual report  to the Texas Legislature, which identifies the recipient and the amount of the “award.”  There is a category called “Investment Instrument.”  It is first important to note that there is no report or accounting of the gains or losses associated with any “investment”.  There is no source of revenue stream other than the monies that come from the Texas Legislature.  Thus even though the fund has been in existence since 2005, there is NO indication that ANY “investment” has resulted in any profit or payment to the state. On page 56 of the report there is an accounting of the type of businesses to which the fund has given money. Biotechnology & Life Sciences has received 56% of Awards by number, with a disproportionate amount of money being awarded, $83,647,520.00.  The second highest category was 27% to Computer and Information Technology, which received $35,400,000.00.  The grants to Biotechnology & Life Sciences are significant because we know about the connection of Rick Perry to Merck and the Gardasil scandal. Almost every “award” listed is between  $1 million to $2 million.    However, buried deep within the report at page 60 is a reference to a single “award’ of $50,000,000.00 to “TAMU” which is identified as MD Anderson & DARPA and was awarded on 1-27-07. The number of doctors who benefited from this “award” is probably significant, and would be difficult to identify or quantify.  However, one person of note is Charles Tate.  Mr. Tate is significant because he has donated $395,070.00 to Rick Perry. Mr. Tate is an investment banker and private equity executive.  He has served on the Board at MD Anderson for 10 years.    Thus, it appears that regardless of the cost to Texas taxpayers, sizable “awards” translated into significant “donations” to Rick Perry’s re-election campaign.  When Texas ranks 43rd in high school graduation rates, has the highest number of citizens without health insurance and has 1 out of every 4 children living in poverty, it is apparent Rick Perry is unfit to lead.
